The most recent recording was released in SA on 15 May 1997. Its name is "YaVuka Inkunzi" (The Bull Has Risen). The US release date is not yet known. The recording will probably be called "Circle of Light" when it is released in the uS.
The most recent tour dates can be found at Andy Innes' home page.
Not that we know of. There is a French fan club address that pops up here and there, but no one we know of has had any luck in writing to it. (It was last seen on the insert from the French version of Sipho Mchunu's CD, "Yithi Esavimba"; the address and phone number is 20, rue Cave', 75019 Paris, Tel 42 03 11 11, in case anyone wants to try.) We haven't found one in SA either. If anyone knows differently, please e-mail!
According to list posts by Tony Stonefield (9 July and 18 October 1996), Savuka has been dissolved, and the band is once more entitled Juluka. On the summer 1996 US tour, the band members and their main instruments were: Johnny Clegg (vocals, guitar, concertina); Sipho Mchunu (vocals, guitar), Andrew Innes (guitar), Kevin Gibson (percussion), Keith Hutchinson (keyboards, flute, saxophone), Solly Letwaba (bass guitar), and Mandisa Dlanga (vocals). According to Tony, from now on Juluka will be Clegg's main effort (including Mchunu), but he may also continue with some solo work.
