07/08/99 Update: Gary writes that thirty years after leaving graduate school to study, then teach, and then practice law, he will again become a doctoral student in the biosciences, pursuing structural biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

09/04/99 Update: Gary writes that there has been a slight adjustment to his plans. Thirty years after leaving Purdue he has now entered a doctoral program at Emory University. Ricketts housemate Doug Eaton ('67) is one of the professors teaching a methods and resources course to the first year students.
