According to a note from GTE Network Operations in Florida, GTE will file a tariff in mid-February with the Florida Public Service Commission that will include a blocks of time offering for ISDN Single Line subscribers. Pending approval, the tariff could go into effect as early as March.

For residential customers only, GTE plans to offer a flat rate, unlimited usage service. For those who obtain one- or three-year term contracts, a portion of the installation, or non-recurring charge, will be waived as it is today. Month-to-month subscribers, however, will still be required to pay a non-recurring charge.

GTE believes the new blocks of time offering, combined with the flat rate, unlimited usage tariff for residential users, will complement our existing ISDN tariffs currently in effect in Florida.
