Other Weekend Activities
Dave and Buster's (Friday
night)
-
At 9:00pm on Friday night (April 22), we are
planning on going to Dave &
Buster’s (located on the top level of the Palisades Center mall, 4661
Palisades Center Drive, exit 12 off I-87/I-287 (NY State Thruway), West
Nyack, NY, 10994). If you will be coming in Friday night, you are
welcome to meet us there to socialize, have a drink or play some midway-style
games! They have a bar, lots of seating room for socializing, billiards
tables, and lots of games, so we think there'll be something for everyone
to enjoy, whether you want to play games or just have a drink and socialize.
Please let us know if you plan on coming and we will keep an eye out for
you (and keep you updated).
Bear Mountain State Park
-
There are plenty of opportunities for outdoor
activity at Bear Mountain State Park--the pool and the boat rentals will
not be open yet in April, but there are still plenty of hiking trails around
Hessian Lake and the Hudson River, open playing fields for Frisbees or
other games, scenic views, and even a carousel! Click here
for more information about the park.
Bear Mountain is located in Rockland County,
NY. Orange County, NY is to the north, and Westchester County, NY
is across the Hudson River to the east. These three counties have
many historic sites, parks and other attractions. Here is a partial
list of those sites, with some links where available:
