I never seem to find the time to keep this site updated; I suppose I just don't have an inflated Internet-centric ego. If you want to know what I'm up to professionally, ask for my resume (no longer kept on my web site). Otherwise, drop me an E-mail, and I'll try to reply to it.
Caltech was, and still is, a big part of my life. As long as you're here, you might want to find some other Caltech alumni home pages, or learn more about Caltech alumni or Caltech in general. You might also want to find out about where I lived at Caltech.
Otherwise, here's a list of a few cool things I've collected over the years:
- A sampling of images of the Shoemaker-Levy 9 comet impact (fragments R and V) on Jupiter, taken by me at the Big Bear Solar Observatory. Many more SL9 images can be found at JPL.
- An image of lunar earthshine, also taken by me at BBSO. The crescent moon is to the left, behind a very dark filter. The earthshine is to the right. Earthshine is visible to the naked eye when the moon is a thin crescent. I also designed and built the instrument used to take this image.
- The logo of Presence. This was my first Internet programming job; the company went out of business, unfortunately. We had a cool logo and a lot of cool technology; we were just a bit ahead of our time.
- Two pictures of my fiancee (also a Caltech graduate) and me at the lookout on Saddleback Mountain in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Sometime, I really should scan all my Alaska pictures, and maybe get copies of my many other roadtrip pictures and scan them.
- A little Zip file which contains images I made for giving my Windows box a little of the flavor of my old Commodore 64. If you're interested in Commodore 64s, I recommend CCS64 and Arnold.
