Textbiff

I wrote this after seeing gmailwatch and thinking "what a great idea!". Since I wasn't a GNOME user, I decided to take the opportunity to learn a little X programming. The code is modified from the basicwin example in the O'Reilly book "Xlib Programming". Routines in box.c were taken from gmailwatch-1.1 and ultimately came from xmailwatcher. Here's a snapshot of textbiff:

Download version 0.1 (released April 8, 2000).

Textbiff fits nicely into my Afterstep wharf. You can see a 640x512 shot of the whole screen (267 KB).

Textbiff does everything I want it to do and I haven't messed with it in a few months, so I don't anticipate developing it much further. An obvious extension would be POP mail support, which I may add someday, but if anyone wants to do this, you're more than welcome!
