SANTA CLARA (AP) -- In a surprise move, the Kaiser Sports Medicine
Facility rescheduled surgery on the knee of volleyball player Roy
Hashimoto to Monday, March 15, nearly five weeks earlier than
previously announced. The reasons for the rescheduling were not
given, but an unnamed staff member claimed, "He's so out of shape
already, we weren't sure there would be anything left to operate on."
