Friends

Keelan, Claire, Ella Here are a bunch of cute pictures of my nephew and nieces.
Courtney Schafer
Robert Schafer
Courtney and Robert are two of my closest friends. They do all manner of exciting outdoors things, including hiking, climbing, mountain biking, canyoneering, skiing, skating, diving and low-flying trapeze. Courtney also reads faster (by a large margin) than anyone else I know.
Rosie Jones
I met Rosie through Chris several years ago. She's working for Yahoo right now doing machine learning.
Chris Leger
Chris goes all the way back to highschool (perish the thought). He is an obsessive climber. He also builds beautiful electric guitars, writes sci-fi novels, plays an unbeatable game of Egyptian Rat Screw, oh, and sends robots to Mars in his spare time.
Heide Li
I have played violin with Heide in and out of school. We discovered we were living practically next door to each other after falling out of touch for almost 10 years. Her website might no longer be active.
Kristin Polito
I spent countless hours doing physics homework with Kristin. She has produced films, managed tennis opens, traveled all over, you name it.
Katie Honsinger
Katie Honsinger
Maggie Honsinger
Maggie Honsinger
Kim and I were close friends for a while at school. Kim and Bradey now live up there in some rainy place called Seattle, I think. Here are pictures and videos of her two daughters.
Neil Jones
I met Neil in school and then worked with him at First Quadrant for a few years. Among many other random things, he keeps a bunch of interesting thought puzzles on this page. (Sorry, seems Sporksoft is down for the count. Anybody know where Neil's got to??)
Lisa Plaxco
I met Lisa through George Karas and First Quadrant. She has all sorts of interesting travel stories on this page.
Jon Hartzberg
I also met Jon through George Karas. We've been on several interesting trips together. He also happens to be married to the neatest person in the world, Michiko Hoshino.
Bena Curin
I know Bena through George. She and Jason Tull work for Pixar, which is so cool I just have to put in a link here.
Caltech Alumni
There be dragons here.
