I love to hike. It's fair to say that I've done a good bit more than the average person. I've been hiking long and short all over the US and even a few places outside the US. I'm obsessed with ultra-lightweight backpacking, and I've most of my gear is homemade, including backpacks, sleeping bags, moccasins, rain-gear, etc. The ideal I aspire to is wandering the trackless wilderness like Tom Brown with just a knife and a fleece blanket, but of course I have far to go.
