How to Obtain Old Editions of Nostradamus

Available Early Editions:

• 1555 Lyon Mace edition as material of Barest - published by Michel Chomarat editions, France (out of print.).
• 1557 Lyon Rosne edition - The reprint of 1557 edition is published by Michel Chomarat editions, France. The price is about $20. Mr. Chomarat is president of Nostradamus Center in France. It is not known if the Nostradamus Center is currently in operation.
• 1568 Lyon Benoit Rigaud edition - The 1568 edition is considered to be one of the best editions for research because early mistakes have been corrected and because changes were introduced into later editions. Unfortunately, the Bibliotheque National does not have the 1568 edition. Mr. Takubo says that he could not find the 1568 edition in any library of the world. The Marseille library has the 1615 edition, which is the most similar to the 1568 edition.
• 1588 Pari Roffet edition
• 1589 Pari Menier edition
• 1600 Pari Poiet edition
• 1605 Lyon - The reprint of Cen. I to X of 1605 edition is published by Michel Dufresne (JCL edition) in France, and is about $30.
• 1615 edition - Reproduction available from the Marseille Bibliotheque municipale, code Res. 14205. This material is good condition. See below about how to order reproductions.
• 1700 Lyon Pierre edition

  Where to get reproductions:

  You can obtain reproductions of some of these old editions by microfilm from the Bibliotheque Nationale and the Marseille Bibliotheque Municipale. To order from the Bibliotheque Nationale, the French national library, first request the order sheet for Nostradamus material. From the list, choose the reference number of the material and order reproduction. The price of microfilm is about $70 to $100 for one item.
