Worked remotely as a member of a distributed team. Programmed using the open source Turbine Java web application framework and the Velocity template engine. Implemented object-relational mapping between Java and MySQL using Torque. Developed under Cygwin/Win32, deployed under Linux.

	March 1999 - April 2001	Echmalian Engineering	Arlington, MA
	Consultant Designed and developed a wide range of client and server side software for online casinos. Worked remotely. Implemented a web-based administrative interface for online casino servers, using a combination of CGI scripts in Perl, Java servlets, and Java Server Pages (JSP), distributed across several machines. The administrative interface provided automated mechanisms to build, package, download, and install casino server software. Created a mechanism to re-load new versions of Java code into a server without restarting the server, by re-instantiating a custom classloader. Programmed various gambling applets and servlets, which communicated via custom protocols. Games included Keno and Pai Gow Poker, and were used by many on-line casinos, including FiveDimes.com and BringMeLuck.com. Server components developed under Windows and Red Hat Linux, and deployed under Red Hat Linux. Coded analytical tools to evaluate expected payoffs for Blackjack and Video Poker. Wrote lesson materials and sample programs for an "Introduction to Enterprise Java" course.

	May 1998 - February 1999	Neoworx, Inc.	Dayton, OH
	Consultant Enhanced and refactored NeoWorx.com's graphical internet TCP/IP route-tracing program (in C++), adding many powerful features. Worked remotely. Designed and implemented custom DNS query class to retrieve RFC-1876 location information. Implemented zoomable, scalable map display. Implemented real-time response-time graph. Added "whois" query capability.

	Consultant Developed portions of a Java application to facilitate graphing and analysis of past stock trading data. Worked remotely.
