I am a researcher in human-computer interaction at IBM Almaden Research Center. My research interests include improving the way groups of people manage their shared activities, and end-user programming — building tools to make it easier for people to create user interfaces and applications.
I am a member of the User Sciences and Experience Research (USER) group.
I received a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley. My dissertation was on a prototyping tool to support the design of user interfaces for applications that run on desktop PCs and mobile devices.
I received a B.S. in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology, popularly known as Caltech.
