- Member of the Nuclear Emergency Response Program. Duties include developing and revising technical procedures for off-site response to a commercial nuclear power plant accident; participating in drills and exercises as a player, controller, or evaluator; providing training to state and local responders; and working with other local, state, and federal response organizations to ensure a coordinated response.
- Member of several interagency committees including the Federal Radiological Monitoring and Assessment Center (FRMAC) Monitoring and Sampling Working Group and the San Onofre Offsite Dose Assessment Center Subcommittee.
- Served in the DHS Department Operations Center following September 11 attacks.
- Served as the DHS representative at the State Operations Center following discovery of anthrax letters on east coast.
