Santa Barbara

Across the street from the Mission is a rose garden.

Santa Barbara mission, called the Queen of the missions. It has an attractive inner courtyard, a still functional church, and a cemetary. Inside the Mission is a historical display detailing life in the Mission. Outside, it is still possible to see evidence of the Mission aqueduct system.

The huge Moreton Bay Fig Tree is a Santa Barbara landmark. Brought to Santa Barbara from Australia and planted in the late 1800's, the tree can provide shade for more than 1000 people.

The Santa Barbara Zoo capybaras--the largest rodents known weighing up to 145 lbs.

Santa Barbara County Courthouse
