-30 @ Chez Johnson

I played fairly well in the tournament, gathering two second place finishes in the three times I played, but just couldn't nab a first place spot.

I suppose I should explain how the tournaments work. A $10 buy-in gives you $80 in chips (no rebuys.) The blinds start at $1-$2, and double every 10 minutes. When they are $5-$10, a $1 ante is required as well. 50 minutes into the tournament,
the blinds are $50-$100 with a $5 ante. The game is done in about an hour, and everybody buys in again for the next round. The July and August tournaments were winner take all, but there were some win, place, show games at ConnieFest.

Starting out

Of course you can't start with $0 and play poker, but July 1st is when I decided to keep very close track of my play and it is easier to keep track of the running total if you start from 0.
