Karla (Kuehl) Blakely (IA90) writes: I was graduated from the University of Iowa in May 1994 with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. I took a year off from school to "find myself" and try to figure out what it was that I really wanted to do. I decided that I needed to go back to school (yes, the University of Iowa again) and became certified to teach science in December 1997. During this time, I also met and married my best friend, Rich Blakely, in June 1997. We started out 1998 by moving down to the Kansas City area, and now we are expecting a baby in March 1999.

Cecily Chen (MD90) writes: Since obtaining my BS in Civil Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, I've been working for more than 3 years. (Wow, that's a long time even though I still consider myself a recent college grad.) I worked the first year in Arlington, VA, but had ventured out to St. Louis after that. I'm now with St. Louis County Government, and my job consists of reviewing plans and issuing building permits. But I won't be doing this long. [Cecily married Richard Tsai in May, 1998.] [After the wedding], we could end up anywhere in the USA. Richard is currently applying for his residency at various hospitals. I think somewhere in the Northwest would be nice. I would love to hear from anyone. Please email me so we can catch up.

Eddie Kemp (TX90) writes: I am still going to school. After changing schools and majors several times, I have racked up more than a few credits but no degrees. I figure if I just keep going long enough, I will get surprised with a degree sooner or later. My interests have shifted towards computers the last few years. I spent about 2 years as a developer for a small firm here in Dallas. I have now moved on to network administration and have finally found my calling. I justed finished up my MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification about 2 weeks ago, and am applying for a couple of MIS Director positions here in the area. ... I have been engaged to Shelly for one year.... She is a developer for Pegasus Systems here in Dallas.

Laura Fitton (CT90) writes: I have ended up for a while near Philadelphia, PA, where I am working for a slightly odd CATV network start-up. As close as I've been yet to a real job! Dropped by NYSC last summer (on the way back from videotaping in Montana - long story!) for a blast from the past, and it truly was. All the 1990 "remnants" were working in the office now! Eeek!
