Education
Lee obtained his MS in Chemical Engineering
from the California Institute of Technology.
He obtained his SB in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He took business and management courses at Harvard Business School,
MIT's Sloan School of Management and
the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
He is a product of the public school system of New York City and
a graduate of Stuyvesant High School,
a specialized high school in math and science.
Professional Experience
He has been employed by Texaco Inc. since
1993.
He was a regulator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
who was responsible for controlling nitrogen oxides emissions
from electric utilities and contributed to several aspects of
the sulfur oxides trading system, including the serialization
and tracking of sulfur allowances,
in EPA's Acid Rain Program.
He was a chemical process engineer at Fluor Daniel,
an international engineering & construction company. In 1996,
he was awarded United States Patent 5,554,453 for
his work on carbonate fuel cell systems.
He was a staff engineer at a small consulting firm working for
the U.S. Department of Defense's Advanced Research Projects Agency and
the Office of Naval Research.
He was a physicist at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
He worked summers at 3M
while he was in college.
He worked as a consultant to General Electric Credit
Corporation.

Lee talked with his former boss, President Bush, at a social gathering.
Lee 'taught' his computer to read Chinese on the Web.
He likes to read the Singtao Daily and
check on Asia-Pacific developments through the information sources
at Hong Kong Standard .

Several of Lee's college friends left their scientific or engineering
fields and became 'rocket scientists' at firms such as Goldman Sachs,
Morgan Stanley, Lazard Freres,
and Saloman Brothers. He

market.
