Leif's father's favorite, just as his mom made it.
|2||eggs, slightly beaten|
|1 cup||dark Karo syrup|
|2 Tbsp||melted butter or margarine|
|1||unbaked pie crust|
Mix eggs, syrup, salt, vanilla, sugar, and butter. Stir in pecans. Pour into shell. Bake in 400°F oven 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350°F and bake 30 to 35 minutes longer. Filling should appear slightly less set in center.
