Our family's basic whole wheat bread, for a 2 lb loaf in a bread machine. Because our son is allergic to milk protein, we make it without dairy ingredients.
|1½ cup||soy or almond milk|
|2 cups||whole wheat flour|
|2 cups||white flour|
|1¼ tsp||active dry yeast|
Add ingredients to bread machine, following the machine's directions for order and placement (ours asks for the liquid ingredients on the bottom, then some of the flour as a shelf, then the remaining dry ingredients with the yeast in a well on top, reserving the blueberries). Set bread machine to "regular" cycle with dark crust, and turn on.
Makes one 2 lb loaf.
