Having recently (2001) finished my PhD at the California Institute of Technology I'm currenty employed at Applied Minds, Inc., in Glendale, California. There, I'm doing a combination of generaI engineering and intellectual property management.
While at Caltech, I studied in the Department of Mechanical Engineering , conducting research in the area of fluid mechanics. I also was privileged to serve as the Resident Associate at Ruddock House, the finest of the seven undergraduate houses at Caltech.
It seems that a requirement for holding an RA position at Caltech was owning a cat. Shortly after arriving at Ruddock, I joined the club by taking in a Maine Coon. Here's Lhotse the cat in action if you like.
Prior to my arrival at Caltech, I was a student at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
