The old current future history (mystory?).
I am now living at 259 S. San Marino Ave with three wonderful housemates, namely Megan Nunez, Benjamin Lane , and Brian Hudson . Oh, and how can I forget Zoey, Megan's cat! In any case, not only is the house number 259, and the street named after a saint, but we live right across from a playground. Coincidence? I think not. Or is that - I don't think?
In other news, I am currently experiencing Candidacy. The reason I have time to edit this homepage is that I am printing out my final draft of my Candidacy report. Ok, so any time in the past couple of weeks I might have latched onto updating webpages as a means of procrastination, only I didn't think of it in time, fortunately. What this means is that in one more week I get to find out if they will let me stay at Caltech. (who is this mysterious they?) (Oh. That would be my advisor and a couple other faculty members).
Despite a hiatus of several months, I plan to start hiking again sometime soon. Especially since the hills are full of the sound of water, and the foliage should be greener and the waterfalls more impressive and the streams should be dancing. The one good side effect of El Nino.
I have also started a vegetable garden in our backyard. The sugar snap peas are several inches high, and vigorously seeking support (provided in the form of bamboo poles). The onions are growing, the garlic cloves I planted are sprouting, but I have yet to see signs of the herbs, carrots, or wildflowers.
