betina and I just had a son!

In the picture, Jason is about 20 minutes old. His feet are black because the nurse has just taken his footprints for the birth certificate. Before you say it, yes I should have had the nurse take a handprint too. |

Here I am holding Jason about an hour after he is born. It was really strange to be holding him after a long night and be thinking "So, frosh, where are you from? What's your favorite color? How do you like rotation so far?". Seriously, until now, he was just a moving bulge in betina's stomach, but now he is an individual and it's time to start getting to know him. |

Our dog was facinated with Jason. When he is sleeping she curls up on the floor nearby and watches him - the slightest noise will make her run over to check on him. I'm sure that when he starts crawling and tugging on her ears, she will long for these quiet days :-) |
