The conference was held in Orlando, Florida, USA from June 2-6, 1996 at the Orange County Convention Center.
The session was entitled "Getting Results From a Management Training Needs Analysis", and focused on performance development and support based on an assessment of competencies. In this process, the learners were directly involved in developing their own analysis of their learning needs and in the planning of learning strategies, in cooperation with their supervisors, peers, and direct reports if applicable.
This session was one of about 200 which were selected from the more than 750 RFPs submitted. The conference itself attracted thousands of training and organization development professionals, of which over 1/3 came from outside the United States. The more than 250 educational sessions presented the latest ideas, best practices, trends and technologies available in the field of workforce learning and performance.
