Falling Apart

I'd like to think this was a happy smile; more likely it's delirium. Starting at about mile 22, I got first one mylar blanket, and then later two, to wrap around me whlie I "ran" on. The mylar really helped the body temperature problem, but even my one GU every half hour couldn't do anything to restore my total lack of energy.

The mylar blanket, by the way, is something else again. Inscribed with the BAA logo, the names of all the winners of the Boston Marathon, and lots more, it is the most elaborate mylar blanket you'll ever see! I brought two home with me.

The first view of the Citgo sign (look *very* closely) was a very welcome sight. But I was feeling a little lightheaded, and decided discretion was the better part of valor. There was NO WAY I wasn't going to finish and get my medal, so I opted for walking it in from here.
