It was the blackest hour of my life;
my child lay bleeding on the ground,
and I could do nothing...
then a voice offered me a terrible bargain.
What choice did I have?
I would do anything to save her.
I did not know that the price she would pay
would be so much higher than my own.
But she was saved, no thanks to me;
a child — a brave, beautiful child —
did what I could not, saved my baby girl,
and gave me a second chance.
If she asked, I would walk through fire for her.
