Who was Carl?

Carl J Lydick was a contraversial participant on many mailing lists and Usenet newsgroups. Though usually accurate and helpful, he would constantly use profanity and insults. He had his share of supporters and detractors. Carl's behavior eventually cost him his job. Carl recently passed away due to complications of diabetes and a heart condition.

Carl, Rest in Peace.

About the photos

These photos are from the 1976 edition of "The Big T," the Caltech yearbook. The first photo is from the section devoted to the "California Tech" (the school's weekly newspaper) where Carl was one of the editors. The other two are from the Fleming House (one of the seven undergraduate houses) section. Carl is identified by a white bar in the second photo and is on the right in the third photo.
