Interests

Interest 1 My major professional interest and accomplishment has been in cluster analysis by modeling data as a mixture of distributions. I developed a program called NORMIX for separating out the different clusters in a mixture. 

Interest 2 I have done quite a lot of work on computerized aptitude testing using item response theory and other approaches.

Interest 3 I did a year of graduate work in Artificial Intelligence at the MIT AI-Lab, and applied some of what I learned to developing intelligent computerized tutoring systems for Navy training.
