Neural Networks

How I became involved in neural networks

I became interested in neural networks in the early 1980's between a course in Adaptive Signal Processing given by Bernard Widrow at Stanford and research work in neural networks at Caltech by Carver Mead and John Hopfield. In early 1990, Hal Finney and I developed the first version of Neuralyst, a neural network package for Excel, and I have continued to work on refining and developing it over the last few years.
