I am a computer scientist specializing in human-computer interaction. My research interests include end-user programming, user interface design tools, and collaboration software.
Currently, I work at Google on the Engineering Productivity Research team, which looks at measuring productivity of software engineers using a variety of methods. I have also worked on user interface infrastructure for Google Search and infrastructure for conducting experiments on software. Previously, I was a member of the User Sciences and Experience Research (USER) group at IBM Almaden Research Center.
I received a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology, popularly known as Caltech.
